It's early here. 6:30 am on a Saturday to be exact. Why am I up?
Wait, it'll come to me...
Oh yeah, I remember. I'm going for a run soon. And I need more coffee.
As part of my early Saturday morning wake-up ritual, I like to read some of the informational emails that pile up throughout the week. One of them is a newsletter from Active.com. This morning's headline:
Create Your Gluten-Free Sports Diet
Not a bad article. I was pleasantly surprised at the wealth of information on celiac disease, and how anyone with lingering, unexplained health issues should be tested. They also touch on non-celiac gluten sensitivity, where you need to eat gluten-free in spite of a negative celiac diagnosis.
They had some good dietary advice, as well as a great reminder to always have emergency backup food with you, in case you can't find something safe to eat.
All in all, my not-yet-awake brain was impressed with the article, and happy to see good advice reaching a wide audience.
Now, back to that coffee...
